Introducing Phocus 2.6, the most recent update to our powerful and easy-to-use Phocus software. Like its predecessors, Phocus 2.6 is the final step in uncompromising image quality, allowing you to work quickly, efficiently, and creatively with the world's most advanced image files. Phocus 2.6 also provides new features and improvements that will increase both processing capabilities and the workflow speed.

New features include:

Unique Dust Removal
The Phocus Dust Removal tool is designed to quickly remove unwanted image spots caused by dust particles on the sensor without sacrificing image detail. Sophisticated algorithms scan the selected dust spot at the pixel level and only remove the spot, leaving image quality intact. This new tool can be utilized to clean up images individually or in batch processing, drastically reducing retouching time. The algorithm even accounts for lens corrections and resulting spot movement when batch processing files. This convenient tool allows near automation of dust removal on batch processing and provides advanced settings that enable you to achieve optimum balance between dust removal and retained pixel clarity..

Star Rating and Filtering
In previous versions of Phocus, you could only rate images via the IPTC core menu as numbers or via the camera's integrated 3-color Instant Approval Level system. Now, in addition to the numerical and color-coded rating system, Phocus 2.6 allows you to rate, sort and filter images using a standard 0-5 star rating system. This star rating system does not replace the Instant Approval rating and can be used alone, in combination with the Instant Approval System, and in any view mode. Once images are rated, they can be quickly sorted by star rating with the corresponding filter in the thumbnail bar.

Import/Export of Image Adjustments
Most photographers have specific sets of image adjustments that you use over and over again. Phocus 2.6 now allows you to share those adjustments with other members of your team or, better yet, take them with you so you have them whether you're on location or using rented equipment. This means that you can use your personal adjustments, keywords, layouts, etc. on any workstation with Phocus installed. This feature, in conjunction with the MyPhocus concept, which enables options for importing and exporting keywords as well as user layouts, provides a very high level of customization and convenience.

Combined H and V lens Tool and Extended Info in Compare Mode

In Phocus 2.6, a standard lens tool will adapt to the currently shown image, meaning that you will no longer need a separate tool for V lens corrections. In addition, the viewer bar will now show image information for both the left and right view. Rating and approval levels will also be available for both sides.

Windows Support of TIFF and JPEG Files

Like the Mac version, the Windows version of Phocus 2.6 now supports TIFF and JPEG files. With this additional file support, Phocus can take on a broader role in photographers' workflows.

With Phocus 2.6, Hasselblad has provided photographers with a software application that will truly meet the challenges of modern, high-end shooting.
